Jeff's Week on BurmaBook (c)

Week of January 25th

I will be using this blog page to share my weekly activities.

For the next two weeks I will chronicle the countdown to what is assuredly going to be an historic Strategic Retreat on February 13th.

Why historic?  Because: Care for Peace is now beyond proof of concept with: a Care for Peace Mobile Health Van healthcare team delivering care to the villagers in Kyauk Phyu (say: "Chock Phoo"); a Care for Peace Rural Health Clinic that will be completed in Pantawpyin Village; and the land for the Mini-Medical Center has been secured...designs are being drawn; and fundraising has commenced to take the Care for Peace Mission to the next level.   The next level: Survive and Thrive!  (for the children of Myanmar)

BUT that's not all!

Care for Peace is working with senior faculty of the University of California Davis Medical Center, Health Technology and One Health to give UC Davis students an opportunity to not only work abroad in Myanmar, but to help facilitate the planning and development of village-based, locally governed Micro-Healthcare Systems (think: micro-financing on a community level) that will ensure each Mini-Medical Center is sustainable in perpetuity.

BurmaBook.com and BurmaBook.org are now registered domains that will eventually be used to bring people who care for peace all in one virtual place starting with:
Physicians Who Care for Peace
Nurses Who Care for Peace
Mothers Who Care for Peace
Children Who Care for Peace
Golfers Who Care for Peace
...and so on
